Popup Kiddie Invitations

Popup Kiddie Invitations

Ever since I can remember, invitations are normally assigned to me. The past two weeks, I’ve made two kiddies popup (? not sure about the term) invitations. Both are 5R in size (5in x 7in). The first one was a Barney invite. It contained a Barney, Baby Bop and BJ group popup, as well as, 2 popup stars. This week I just finished a word world invitation containing 6 popups (sun, bear, dog, ant, pig, duck). In the picture above there’s also a Thomas and Friends (train popup) in 4R size (4in x 6in). The other Barney invitation was for my niece’s 2nd birthday invitation. The star containing the invitation text was the popup. There’s another one I made last year (hello kitty) but I still have to look for my copy. =)

What I don’t like about this is that cutting the popups can be really, really tiring. I’m left with a sore hand the following day. If only I have a digital cutter like Craft Robo, Silhouette or something like these… I bet it’ll cost a lot! *wishful thinking*

I’ll post better pics some other time…

Happy 19th Birthday to Mao Asada!!!

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Today is the 19th birthday of one of my favorite figure skaters (actually, she’s my #1 fave), Mao Asada (浅田真央). May she stay sweet, cheerful, determined, humble and kind. I wish her all the best in life and I hope she has a blast on this special day and in this season…

More Birthday Invitation Cards and CD Labels

Monday, August 17th, 2009

Here are some more invitation cards I’ve made using photopapers. The 4R-sized invitation was created for my officemate’s daughter and son. It was for her daughter’s 3rd birthday and her son’s christening both done on the same day. The pink one was for little Shanna’s 1st birthday, pocket-sized as her mom requested. And the last one was done for one of my sister’s sidekicks. Hehe… It was another rushed work and we had trouble finding pictures that won’t look pixelated.

And here are the CD labels I made for Jonah’s little Maanne. The theme was Pooh and I made 2 layouts. She said she loved both and these actually have matching prints for the cd cases which I forgot to take pictures of. Here are the cd labels. :-)

Lexi’s Barney 2nd Birthday Party

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

My niece, Lexi, celebrated her 2nd birthday last August 1. Her birthday wasn’t until August 3 but the party was held early as her daddy won’t be here on the day itself.

As the party was planned just a week before, we just had a simple party for her. The theme was Barney as it’s now her favorite. The cake was done by Cake Temptations, tarpaulin and invitation by me, and balloon decors by her mommy.

The tarpaulin was 5ft by 4ft in size and the invitation was printed on 4R photopaper.

The cake had 3 layers with Barney as the topping — done in Barney colors with lots of stars which Lexi loves.

Balloon decors were done by her mommy with 5 balloon layers topped with Barney mylars.

Lexi’s Hello Kitty Birthday Party

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Months before my niece, Lexi, celebrated her 1st birthday last year, my sister had continuously bugged me to make layouts for the party. Lexi’s theme that time was Hello Kitty. I was asked to make a tarpaulin layout (I forgot the exact size but probably around 6ft in width), invitations, labels, nametags, tumblers, bag layouts and some I can’t remember now. I swear I actually got tired of looking at Hello Kitty for a while…

Anyway, I found some pics  in my photo album in multiply and here they are:

The pictures are small as I haven’t found the hi-res photos from our digital camera. Some pictures were taken by using my cellphone. Cake by Cake Temptations. Balloon Decors and site arrangement by my sister (the celebrant’s mom).

Hello Kitty Tumbler giveaways and other stuff not in pictures — I’ll try to find them.

For next month’s birthday celebration, I’m not so sure…

More party giveaways: Bags and pouch

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Here are some designs of bag/pouch giveaways I’ve made. Dora the Explorer backpacks and Disney pouch.

I was just going to make some samples and didn’t realize it’s going to be for a birthday, and that they’d place some text on it. How the greeting and the celebrant’s name were placed isn’t my idea…

As for the Disney pouch, I wasn’t informed ahead that there’d be a slight problem printing thin fonts.

Anyway, here’s the picture of the layout and the output:

Spongebob Photo Invites, Tarpaulin and Pouch Layout

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

Again, my sister asked me to make a Spongebob invitation, tarpaulin and pouch layouts for a client of hers. It’s for the client’s son’ 4th birthday bash. Here are the pictures of what I have come up with for those Spongebob layouts:

Nodame Cantabile 4R Calendar

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

Late 2007 and half of last year I was such a big fan of the Japanese live action drama Nodame Cantabile that I can’t help but watch the anime and read the manga versions also. I even eagerly anticipated for the 2 episode special early last year. Because of the early showing, I decided to make a calendar set using screencaps from my favorite scenes. I then printed each calendar month on 4R photopaper and used them as my calendar at work.

I posted them on my multiply site and my groups and got good feedback. They even wanted me to make new ones for this year. Because I’ve been busy, I wasn’t able to but better late than never. I’ll be making one, hopefully by next week.

Enough of that, here’s what my Nodame Cantabile 2008 4R calendar set looks like:

January 2008 - April 2008

Nodame Cantabile Jan-Apr 08

Nodame Cantabile May-Aug 08
